What is a Meme?

I have been blogging for more than a year now, and I have yet to have that term explained to me. And I refuse to use it on my blog till I know what it means! Wait... I lied, I refuse to use it anyway. Kind of like how I won't use IM speak. Lisa, it took me months to figure out what ROFL meant. I don't even talk like that over IM, or text. I like full and complete sentences. It leaves much more room for snide or sarcastic comments that you just can't get with abbreviations. For those of you that do prefer to shorten your words for lack of time, or whatever, more power to you. I understand. But I do not conform.

I believe a Meme is a questionaire that is circling the blog world about you. Hence the word Me. I don't speak in text either. I think people don't know how to write or spell because of it now. I think it is awesome that you don't

I believe a meme is just what loudaisy said. I have never looked it up, but my friend and others use the word "meme" to describe a questionaire, survey, or other "tag" theme about themselves. *shrug*

As for slang talk, GMAB! No one said you HAVE to conform! I LOVE computer slang, so you can just kiss my HWB, ROFLMHO!!!!!! ;););)

*{love ya}!*

ROFL = Rolling On Floor Laughing :) Some people draw it out with a "ROTFLMHO" = Rolling On The Floor Laughing My Head Off, but I ususally shorten it. ;)
