That pretty much says it all. And for that reason I am turning to all of you for recommendations. I am willing to look into just about anything, but I do draw the line at country. And rap. Other than that, bring it on! Please recommend your favorite song, or artist, or album. Here are a few of my favorite artists, just for reference:
Fall Out Boy
Jason Mraz
Train
The Killers
Keene
Ready?
GO!!

Spence and I recently heard Vampire Weekend for the first time. I liked them...but I know our music tastes differ. :)
Butch Walker
James Morrison
I'm really big on Ingrid Michaelson, but I don't know how you feel about her.
We listen to a lot of "Wee Sing", Sandra Boyton, and "Little People" at our house. That probably has something to do with the one and three year old. I haven't listened to music on the radio in like 3 years. It's kinda sad.I am of NO help.
I have really been enjoying Rilo Kiley and Lily Allen - but that might be old news for you young people
Unless you like country I'm useless. Sorry!
Nik English is a good singer...And he sings in the car to you all the time ;)
I was also going to recommend Vampire Weekend. So I guess you MUST listen to them now.
Also I think you might like Regina Spektor and Some of Ben Folds earlier stuff.
Another recommend is checking out Pandora.com you plug in the musicians you like and they create a station based on that info. They even tell you why they chose it. Its pretty fascinating. And thats how I've found a lot of my new music lately.
I love finding new music.
The New Pornographers! (don't be fooled by their name, it's all shock value).
Rocky Votolato (one of my music heros)
Aimee Mann
The Sweater Friends (just sayin'.)
I'm sure you listen to Death Cab but Transatlanticism is still one of my faves.
The above suggestions are pretty good too. I like a lot of hard stuff too but these are all great band that look pretty in sync with your tastes.
norah jones. I'm not a music buff, but I like some of her stuff. I also like that pandora.com.
