The day started with a call and a song from Kayleen (step-MIL) then Nik made me my favorite, french toast for breakfast. It was delicious! I could only eat 2 pieces, but I may make him make it for me more often, I think he does it better than I do!
Then we went to Costco and Nik picked out some beautiful multi-colored roses for me. They look awesome on our little table. I love them!
Later that afternoon we met my parents and younger brother at the zoo! I love the zoo! Are you ever too old for the zoo? I hope not. I took a bunch of pictures, and mom and dad took even more. I want mom to blog some of the ones she took of us, I took more of the animals....Here are my favorite of the pictures.
That night we went to dinner at Lone Star in Sugar House, then Nik let me look around in Down East. Found some skirts that I will have to splurge and get soon....Happy Birthday me! Thanks again to everyone who expressed their love for how amazing I am!

Wow, how did you get so many of the animals to look at the camera for their pictures? They never do that for me. I usually end up with an album of animal butts. And Nik, ignore that sign. David TOTALLY rode that slide the last time we were there. We DID have Annie with us, which made it a little less conspicuous but I'm convinced he would have done it anyways. ;)

Those pics of the animals are amazing! I can't believe you got the majority of them looking at the camera! Glad you had a fun bday!
So so sad we missed the zoo. I am so happy your birthday was fantastic. We still need to celebrate the right way
